Thanksgiving is approaching. Thanksgiving is a time when we gather with our family and friends to eat together and to give thanks for what we have. We are grateful for our families, for our friends, for our pets, for our homes, for our food, for our education, etc. We thank God for all of these blessings. However, why do we have to thank God just on one special day? Why can’t Thanksgiving be every day? We need practice gratitude daily. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”—Philippians 4:4
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”- 1 Thessalonians 5:8
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”- Colossians 3:17
God is the bearer of all of our blessings! It is always good to thank Him and to praise Him. He created everything and everything that He created is good. “For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.”- 1 Timothy 4:4. As we gather for Thanksgiving, let us is reminded of God’s constant love and care for us.
What are you thankful for God this Thanksgiving and every day?
